Interesting Fact About the kitchen

This door was put into the kitchen because in the Victorian Era it was improper to have smells of food cooking in the house until dinner time. While cooking a meal all of the doors were shut tight and this tiny door was closed. When the cooking was finished the food was passed through this door, into the butler's pantry and then into the dining room.
